Yesterday, I visited Tokuyama City in Yamaguchi Prefecture with Mr. Okabe, the President and CEO of JPYC, the leading stablecoin company in Japan. We went to greet and learn from Mr. James Bungo Saito, an investor in JPYC and xWIN.

As entrepreneurs, we believe it’s our duty to report to our investors and to actively apply the insights gained from discussions with investors into our business practices.

xWIN has received investments from two legendary angel investors, Mr. James Bungo Saito and Mr. Hidehiko Nakagawa.

Mr. James Bungo Saito, a veterinarian who once worked for Yamaguchi Prefecture, has succeeded in various businesses and currently holds investments in nearly 40 companies. He is also the owner of the formidable Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race team, Auto Race Ube Racing Team, which ranks highly in the racing world. He is likely one of the wealthiest individuals in Japan.

On the other hand, Mr. Hidehiko Nakagawa, a former employee of Nikko Securities, achieved great success on Wall Street and later moved to Vietnam, where he has resided for nearly 20 years. He is considered one of the most prominent Japanese figures in Vietnam and will soon have his book “The Fleet Does Not Move” adapted into a stage play, set to premiere in November

Our group, including Mr. James and Mr. Nakagawa, has always respected and looked up to these two individuals as mentors and senior figures in the business world. Even in their 60s, they remain active, setting an example for us to follow.

What’s remarkable about both of them is:

  1. Their foresight; they continuously gather information and embrace new challenges, such as their involvement in the Mali Republic and DeFi.
  2. Their emphasis on building relationships and mentoring younger generations, with a shared goal of improving Japan.
  3. Their unwavering commitment to their endeavors.
  4. Their willingness to challenge conventional wisdom and take unconventional actions.
  5. Their frugality, saving money for crucial moments.
  6. Their engaging storytelling abilities.
  7. Their admirable way of living life.

There’s so much more to say about them. We are grateful to have met these pioneers and feel the responsibility to convey their wisdom and continue striving for excellence within our group of companies. It was a morning filled with these reflections.
